Astwood Lane, Hanbury) (40 mph Speed Limit) Order 2017 (Revocation) and
(B4090, B4091 Hanbury Road, C2079 School Road and C2148 Astwood Lane,
Hanbury) (30 mph and 40 mph Speed Limit) Order 2022
Worcestershire County Council are to consider making an Order the effect of which
will be to update the speed limit Order on the following roads in Hanbury:
30MPH
B4090 from a point 40m north east of its junction with UC420002 (Salt Way) in a
north easterly then south easterly direction to a point 132m south east of its junction
with B4091 Hanbury Road. B4091 Hanbury Road from its junction with B4090 for
a distance of 560m in a northerly direction.
40MPH
B4090 from a point 132m south east of its junction with B4091 Hanbury Road for a
distance of 478m in a south easterly direction. B4091 Hanbury Road from a point
560m north of its junction with B4090 to a point 420m north of its junction with
C2079 School Road. C2079 School Road from its junction with B4091 Hanbury
Road to its junction with B4090. C2148 Astwood Lane from its junction with C2079
School Road for a distance of 60m in a northerly direction.
There are exemptions in the Order for Special Forces Vehicles.

Hanbury Road Closure B4090 closed for 12 days from 7 March 2022

An order has been made: to close that part of B4090 Hanbury Road from the bridge over Worcester & Birmingham canal for a distance of 1270 metres in a North Westerly direction.

Reason: Carriageway resurfacing by WCC.

Exemptions: to permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Vacancy on the Parish Council

Due to the resignation of Lynda Cottrell, there is a vacancy to be filled at the Parish Council on Monday 28th February 2022. Applicants are to email the Clerk for further information – clerk@hanburyparishcouncil.gov.uk by 10am on 23 February 2022.

A by-election to fill the vacancy will be held if ten electors for the ward/parish give notice in writing claiming such an election to the Returning Officer by 18th February 2022 otherwise the co-option as above will proceed.

CASUAL VACANCY

A casual vacancy has been created due to the resignation of a Councillor

As per the 1972 Local Government Act – the public can call an election of the Parish Council by submitting 10 electors names and addresses to the Clerk at the above Address by 24 November 2021.

If this does not happen then the Parish Council will seek to Co-opt a Parish Councillor at their meeting of 29th November 2021.

Applications to this post must be received by the Clerk by 24 November 2021 at 9am in the form of an application that can be requested from the Clerk until 9am on the 22 November 2021.

Playground on the Recreation ground

The play ground is now open. Please note that there are no handwashing facilities available, so the public should take extra care to wash their hands after using the equipment. Social distancing guidelines should also be kept to. If there are any problems please contact the clerk.

Play area in Hanbury

Please notice that the Play area on the Recreation Ground has been closed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The play area will not be inspected during this period. The recreation ground is open as usual and we urge all users to respect the 2m social distancing rule to all users who do not live in the same household.
