Welcome to Hanbury Women’s Institute (WI)
Hanbury WI is friendly and fun. Our WI is one of the oldest in the Country. Hanbury WI was set up in 1917 with Lady Vernon of Hanbury Hall as President, something we are very proud of. The WI is a national organisation with institutes all over the Country.
Structure of Hanbury WI
We have a Committee which keeps members informed and up to date about WI activities. Our current President is Jill Harper and she can be contacted at hanburypres@wfedwi.org.uk
Monthly Meetings
We meet once a month, the second Thursday at 7.30pm at Hanbury Village Hall. We usually start with a short update on WI activities and then we either have a speaker or an activity which is the main part of the meeting. At the end of the meeting there are refreshments and a raffle. We also have an active Book Club.
