RECREATION GROUND AND PLAY AREA PROJECT UPDATE

The tender request went on-line with a closing date of 3 September. – four companies visited the site and put in plans and quotes for the Play Area project.

The successful company was Playscheme.

The total spend on the play area will be £140,076.00 Should all go to plan, we await a pre-build site meeting in early to mid-October and the build is predicted to take a maximum of four weeks.

There is a possibility that the weather may affect the above plans but Playscheme are optimistic that it will be built this year. If not, it will be next spring.

Many thanks to all the parishioners who generously contributed to the playground fund to fill the financial shortfall. Many thanks are also given to Wychavon Council for the awarding of a grant for the project of £100,000 which has ensured that this project will be of the highest quality.

RECREATION GROUND The proposals for the path extension and exercise equipment installation is also to go ahead.

This is due to the generous offer to install the path and the exercise equipment free of charge by Mr and Mrs E Terry and for the donation of the exercise equipment free of charge by Mr and Mrs I Few.
