Hanbury Recreation Ground and Play Area Consultation

PLEASE SEE THE PLAN FOR THE PLAY AREA – FILED ON THIS WEBSITE – UNDER DOCUMENTS – PUBLICATION SCHEME

Hanbury Parish Council’s plan to refresh the play facilities for children and to develop the Recreation Ground is gaining momentum, with our expression of interest in Wychavon’s Legacy Fund having recently been approved.

The proposed plan includes a new dedicated teenagers’ play space with MUGA (Multi Use Games Area) with a basketball hoop, infant and junior zoned areas which include loved and many new pieces of equipment, and a covered seating area. On the Rec, we plan to extend the sturdy pathway all the way around the recreation ground as well as install some donated pieces of adult exercise equipment.

As part of the full application, we need to show we have talked to parishioners and others about these plans and we want to hear your opinions.

We hope to come down to the area to chat from time to time but also the display will be in the Community Room at The Pavilion on Bank Holiday Monday 6th. May and Saturday and Sunday May 11th. and 12th. from 10 – 12. Please do come along to see the plans and give us your comments on the project. Tea and coffee will be served.

The plans will also be on show during the Hobnobs coffee morning on Thursday 2 May, (election day) in the community room  so you can pop in when you come to vote! Also in the Village Hall on Thursday 9 May from 11 – 2 .

We will also ask if you are willing to offer sponsorship or make a donation to the project as we have to raise 10% ourselves

We have already started to consult local community groups. Further details of the project can be viewed on the Hanbury Parish Council website.

If you have any comments, please email The Clerk, Hanbury Parish Council.  clerk@hanburyparishcouncil.gov.uk
